Our walking tour begins at the Poli Barazani historical site before venturing to the vibrant Seela market. Discover the hidden gems of our village, including the picturesque ‘Makitengo Waterfalls’ and a stunning natural river canyon, before heading south onto the gentle slopes of Shimbumbu hill. Hike to the summit of Shimbumbu hill village, standing proudly at 1520 meters above sea level, and be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views encompassing the majestic Mount Meru, the serene Lake Duluti (a caldera lake), and the distant peaks of Kilimanjaro. Here, you’ll gain insight into the traditional agricultural practices of the Meru tribe on these fertile mountain slopes. Descend back to Seela village to enjoy a delicious traditional hot lunch, followed by a refreshing swim in a natural pool after an engaging experience learning about and tasting local beer preparation.
